“Let's go fly a kite
Up to the highest height
Let’s go fly a kite
and send it soaring
up through the atmosphere
up where the air is clear
Oh, let's go fly a kite”
KITE FLYING FUN
A kite flying event will be held on Tuesday at our Ventura Fairgrounds Caravan. We want everyone to bring a kite and see how many kites we can get in the air! It can be a home made kite or a store bought. Bring a big one or a small one. The bigger and brighter the better!!
Just come and have some laughs and a good time. Let’s see who can get their kite the highest!! If you need help others will be there to help you. Don’t be shy let’s go fly a kite!!
Once your kite is in the air, sit down and relax and enjoy the fun.
Ventura County Fairgrounds Area Dump Stations
(as of June 2014)
As the fairgrounds does not have a dump station, the following locations are available as of May. Access may be limited to normal business hours.
Ventura Beach RV Park
800 W Main Street
Ventura, CA 93001
(805) 643-9137
http://www.venturabeachrvpark.com
Dump + fresh water - $25
Fresh water only - $5
Ventura Beach RV Park is across the US 101 freeway from the fairgrounds, and they are receptive to providing this service as a number of nearby CGs including the Rincon Parkway do not have dump or water service. The RV park tanks have to be pumped resulting in the high dump charge. The dump and water is accessible with or without a tow vehicle.
Other Area Dump Stations:
Carpenteria State Beach (North 101 - 17 miles): $10 entry fee
Lake Casitas (North on Hwy 33 - 16 Miles): $10 entry fee, $15 on weekends
Delta Liquid Energy - Propane (1620 Lemonwood Dr, Santa Paula, CA, off Hwy 126) $10 dump
Note: Hrs - Mon-Fri, 8 AM - 4:30 PM only
Camping World (Valencia - I-5)
Note: McGrath State Beach (Oxnard) is currently closed due to damage from 2013 flooding and not expected to be open in September. The dump at Point Mugu State Park - Thornhill Broome (12 Miles South of Oxnard) is also closed due to flooding, although the CG is open.
